Rino Romani
Degree in nuclear engineering at Rome University in 1977. Since then he has been active in the field of the rational use of energy. In 1983 he joined ENEA, the Italian National Agency for New technology, Energy and the Environment, firstly in the division for promotion of energy efficiency. Within industrial projects he has been deeply involved in energy audits and feasibility studies in SMEs (more than 800) to identify cost-effective measures of energy efficiency. In his experience he has also co-ordinated ENEA’s teams of experts providing technical-scientific support to the Italian Authorities in the major Italian programs to promote energy efficiency to the end users. From 2009 to 2014, he held the position of Head of the ENEA’s Energy Efficiency Technical Unit with the task to act as the Italian National Agency for Energy Efficiency according with provisions of ESD Directive (32/2006/EC). From 2014 he is an expert in energy management according to UNI CEI 11339
